The redevelopment and extension of Westheath Shopping Centre in Congleton has recently been completed by G & J Seddon Ltd. The scheme designed by MBLA Architects, included demolition of existing units (which incorporated an interesting space frame roof construction), followed by construction of new retail units within a portal framed extension, enhancement of existing shop frontage, revamping of the existing concourse area and extensive redesign of the vehicular access and parking facilities.

Working in conjunction with Architects Taylor Design and Marcus Worthington Contractors work has now been completed on two showrooms for BMW and Mini at Whitehills Business Park, Blackpool.  The projects consisted of extremely high specification tiled workshops, servicing bays & contemporary designed retail/reception areas.

Project: KFC, Parsongate Retail Park, Leigh

The single storey steel framed building was constructed for use by KFC within the confined of Parsonage Retail Park, Leigh. The structural steelwork provided was fully modelled within Masterseries software and supported steel roof sheeting off cold-formed steel purlins.  A steel framework was also provided for a mezzanine floor to the rear, which supported items of plant, including air conditioning units.  For the drive-through, a steel-framed canopy was also provided over the serving hatch. The unit was generally clad in masonry of cavity wall construction.
