We have been appointed on projects covering the full education spectrum including Nursery facilities, Junior and Secondary Schools, Higher Education facilities and Universities. Clients include both public and private sector, operating through single projects, framework agreements and the other procurement routes. Projects recently carried out for a number of Local Authorities via framework agreements include new build schools and extensions of various sizes and complexity to primary, junior and secondary schools. Similar projects have also been commissioned by prominent colleges, further education facilities and Universities, including multi-purpose gymnasium structures. Student Accommodation facilities have also been commissioned either directly via the educational establishment or via third parties.
On all projects in this sector our structural design will
endeavor to minimize disruption to educational activities whilst
maintaining the welfare of students in adjacent areas, and also give
consideration to program and budgetary restraints.

Bury MBC
October 2008 saw the completion of the ‘Woodheys High
School’ project in Ramsbottom, for Bury MBC.
Working in conjunction with Architect, Fairhurst Design
Group, and contractor Kier NW, the project involved the construction
of four individual extensions and extensive internal re-modelling of
the existing school building, to provide improved teaching and
dining facilities, and a new main entrance area.

Bardsley Construction Ltd successfully tendered the
Design & Build contract for the new Sports Hall at Stockport School.
The tight schedule ensured that the project was completed in time
for the start of the new school year in September 2002.
As a high tech multi use sports facility for the
school we hope it will produce many future sports stars &
personalities

The project consisted of a large primary school,
small nursery & special school for children combined under one
roof. The contemporary design incorporates group teaching areas
around a glazed atrium which provides natural light and ventilation
to the core of the building. Working in conjunction with Gleeson
Building Ltd we have completed another successful project.

The scheme for Meadowbank
Primary
was to physically amalgamate two existing schools and
provide facilities for a children’s centre to serve the wider
community. The two main
school buildings were joined by a new link block improving access
between them.
